Brucefields is a family golf centre that has two 9 hole courses one being a par 3 course.  Due to conditions under foot only the par 3 course is open so we jump on for a quick round.  The yardages vary from 64 yards to 132 yards but don’t be deceived this is a tricky wee course and full of fun.  It was never going to be magic but it was in good condition.  The course as you expect is set up perfect for working your short game and with the targets being very small you really need to be accurate or have a well polished short game (that’s us f*cked then!!)

A par 27 (776 yards) it only took us around 40 minutes to play and Craig managed to card a 28 with two bogeys and one birdie which came at the 9th.  Stu managed to score 30 which consisted of 6 3’s and the rest 4’s.  All in all good fun and knocked another course off quickly.

If it had not been for the tour we would never have played this course and maybe never play it again but doesn’t mean it’s a bad course its just there’s others we would probably rather play.  It is however good for beginners and great for kids to introduce them to golf and that’s its purpose so keep up the good work Brucefields.
