   Kames Golf Course
Kames Kames

The Kames courses in Mouse Valley opened in 1993 and are Lanarkshire’s premier golf facility.  There are two courses with the shorter 18 hole course being added back in 1999/2000.  The course is interesting and surprisingly demanding.  The course is only 3500 yards long (par 62) however it is a very tight course and the par 3’s are just so enjoyable.  The run of holes from the 8th through to the 13th are all par 3’s over water hazards and through trees truly remarkable.

This was Stu’s kind of course for two reasons one it was nice and short and two the boy found about 40 golf balls.  It was bizarre after the cold spell we must have been the first guys on the course as there were golf balls lying everywhere we had a field day.  The course was good the first three or four holes we were thinking its ok however as soon as we hit 6 the course came into its own and we had a great time.  We were bouncing balls through lakes to the par 3’s and then negotiating the par 3’s through the trees with the highlight Craig’s back to back 2’s.  Stu had a super dongo and 4 dongos to extend his lead in the dongo trail.  Its so very hard to give a signature hole when there are so many fun holes however we will probably share it between 11, 12 and 13.

In summary, you have to play this course if you love golf you will love this course. Probably the most fun course we have ever played and ever will play.  Recommended.
