   Whitehill House Golf Course
Whitehill Whitehill

Situated only twenty minutes from the centre of Edinburgh, Whitehill House, one of the finest historic A-listed houses in Scotland, provides the perfect setting for this gloriously testing par 35 golf course.
Now this course Craig had never played before although Stu had played a couple of years back when it was first opened.  Stu was not looking forward to the game however as it turned out this course was in fantastic condition and was well laid out with beautiful back drops.

The signature hole had to be the 8th Ramsey’s revenge what a hole!!  It is 170 yards full carry over a forest.  Both us managed to clear the forest and make par but by far one of the best hole we have ever played.

The scores….well Craig managed to hole is third from the side of the green on the par 5 (562 yards) for a super dongo (yes your right that’s an eagle) and therefore cleared the no dongo at Lauder so Craig back on track.  Craig followed the eagle by driving the next par 4 (356 yards) only to three putt.  It was in the 3 putt zone but Stu never let up and rubbed it in all the way round.  Another dongo followed at the 6th and a final score for 9 holes 34 (-1).  Stu managed to card a 44 which was an excellent score and he also managed to get on the dongo trail by getting pars at the 7th and 8th (212 yards) and (170 yards) respectively no mean feat!.

In conclusion one of the best par 3 courses we have played and is definitely a hidden gem.  It costs £20 for a day ticket and we would like to thank the member who signed us on for the round and saved us £10.
