   Fullarton Golf Course
Fullarton Fullarton

Fullarton is another one of South Ayrshire’s municipal courses based in Troon.  We played Fullarton in the afternoon after Lochgreen which without doubt would be a hard course to follow.  Whilst not as good as its neighbouring course it was still a joy to play.  The sun was shining and again we were not held up at all - that always makes for an enjoyable round of golf.

Fullarton is situated within the boundaries of Lochgreen and is the shortest of the three courses at Troon at 4,800 yards (Par 66). It is an uplands links course, with narrow, undulating fairways generally flanked by heather and gorse.

Scoring was pretty good with Craig carding a 2 over par 68 and Stu shooting an excellent 83 winning by 2 holes in the end.  Dongos a plenty for Stu (7 in total) whilst Craig only managed the three birdies.  Again no real hole stood out however we awarded the signature hole to the 9th a nice short par 3.

For those of you have not played down in Ayrshire and looking for good value for money we recommend that playing this course combined with Lochgreen would make for an excellent day out.
